How BigBeads got started...

BigBeads was started in 2006 when Julie left the United States Marine Corps after 15 years of honorable service. Upon returning to Southern Oregon, Julie noticed that many bead suppliers focused on sheer numbers - when Native American beaders needed a more focused type of beading supply. She attends powwows on numerous occassions annually and noticed that there was not many bead suppliers that focused on this type of beading.

Her husband Cory, also a Marine - was already involved in a number of online ventures and started to discuss the opportunities that the two could bring to the bead supply business. Having the experience on the web in hand, the two decided to take a leap of faith and see where it led.

BigBeads currently carries over 200 products that cater specifically to Native American beaders. We have supplied small towns in Alaska with beading thread, large companies in the west with beads - and continue to offer some of the best prices on the web. BigBeads can supply anything we carry in bulk as well - just ask!
